Debbie Does Raw: GMO=Dead Farmers

  • CandiceDavis · 1 year ago
While I'm happily buying local and organic here in Southern California, this is happening half-way around the world. {DEEP SIGH} Thank you for shining your light on it. Keep reminding us of the ways we can affect change.

Yes, it is far away.. for now.. how many farmers here might reach a similar state? One of the reasons it happened is the poor situation they are in to start with.. our US farmers struggle everyday to make a dollar.
We must StOP the GMO monster!
stay green and thanks for coming by!

It makes you wonder just how much of our own fruits and vegetables are genetically altered. I think our government considers genetically altered foods "normal" and farmers (or manufacturers?) aren't required to even state that they are genetically altered. Is that still true? Its a scary thought if its true.

This article made me really sad. I usually see you comment on Anthony's blog. Thank you so much for this information. From what I know which isn't included in this article is that there is no law in this country that says that gmo produce has to be labeled gmo. I imagine that gmos wouldn't sell if they're labeled gmo. And the other challenge is it's becoming harder to find organics and they aren't cheap. I'll do my best to buy less conventional and I'm already considering growing my own.

Horrible, sad, and totally senseless. This year, months ago I posted on twitter pointing out that I watched a DVD called "The Future of Food" and suggested others watch it. Do watch it if you haven't already, it's an eye-opening shock at what GMO is doing to our precious food source.

Thank you Deb for this post and all the information.
