Well! Japanese tomatoes. I live in Japan but I've never heard of them. Perhaps because everything is written in Japanese and in Japan they maybe just call them tomatoes...please...post a picture up when they grow!

Sam is such a cutie! First time I see a video of her. What an articulate little girl. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree they say!

Yesterday Peter, my mom, and I hung out at my father house all day and night with him and my sister. My dad has a fig tree in his backyard. Peter removed a couple branches and guess what, some sort of gardening is taking place now. Peter will plant the two branches in my mom's backyard. I hope they grow up to be strong fig trees. :-)

I am also starting my first square foot garden this year. It's about 4 ft by 25 ft and will have irrigation running through the soil.....thanks to our wonderful irrigation/landscaper guy who attached it to our exhisting irrigation system. I heard that we reap about $250.00 worth of produce for every $60.00 we invest in plants. Nice.
Can't wait to see how our gardens grow!

Love you too Debs! It's not space that's the issue [my mother has over a half acrea of land to work with], it's our crazy schedules that is the culprit. But I really like your tip and think I'll go for it. Can't have too much lettuce in the house.

thanks Ingrid! Hey you can do mini lettuce, just grow them and eat them when they are babies! does not take much room , a window box would do!
